The Pardus 2022 Error Catching and Suggestion Contest, which will be held for the second time this year within the scope of Teknofest 21, begins. Applications will be collected between 25 February – 3 June 2022.
TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM PARDUS Project is organizing a Bug Catch and Suggestion Contest for the most up-to-date version of Pardus within the scope of Teknofest 2022. In the competition, which will be held with the cooperation of Turkey Open Source Platform and Informatics Valley, of which TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and Pardus Project are founding members, the awards were determined as 15 thousand TL for the first, 10 thousand TL for the second and 7 thousand 500 TL for the third.
The competition was held with the aim of popularizing the use of Pardus, promoting the Pardus 21 version planned to be released on March 2022, 21.2, contributing to the strengthening of the Pardus ecosystem, and getting bug detection and suggestion contributions on the new version Pardus 21.2; Interested in open source software PARDUS 21All those who are curious about and want to contribute to Pardus. to students will be open.
Participants within the competition; Functional errors/suggestions, performance errors/suggestions, usability errors/suggestions, security vulnerabilities and localization improvement categories, as well as submitting their own different suggestions. Contestants' error/suggestion request entries; It will be evaluated by looking at the type of error and suggestion, their severity, and whether the error/suggestion and its solution are well defined. Competitors will be able to get plus points if they develop the necessary patch for their proposed solution and share it with the Pardus team.

Within the scope of the competition, each participant can submit a maximum of 10 requests. At least 2 of the requests sent by the same participant must be suggestions. The 3 errors/suggestions with the highest score among all requests submitted by each participant will be evaluated.
