The Pardus 9 Error Catching and Suggestion Contest, which will be held on September 13-2021, 21 within the scope of Teknofest, begins. Applications will be collected from 25 August to 8 September.

TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM PARDUS Project is organizing a Error Catching and Suggestion Contest for Pardus 21, the newest version of Pardus, as part of Teknofest. In the competition, which will be held with the cooperation of Turkey Open Source Platform and Informatics Valley, of which TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and Pardus Project are founding members, the awards were determined as 10 thousand TL for the first place, 7 thousand TL for the second and 5 thousand TL for the third. 

The competition, which was held with the aim of popularizing the use of Pardus, introducing the latest version of Pardus released on August 21, 2021, contributing to the strengthening of the Pardus ecosystem, and getting bug catching and suggestions on the new version Pardus 21, It will be open to all participants who are curious about Pardus 21 and want to contribute to Pardus.

Participants within the competition; They will be able to submit their own different suggestions as well as submit their applications in the categories of Functional errors / suggestions, Performance errors / suggestions, Usability errors / suggestions, Security Vulnerabilities and Localization errors / suggestions.

Participation in the competition is done individually. to the competition Pardus Support Center It is necessary to participate with error and improvement notification requests to be entered at the address. For documentation of error notification/correction requests; The complete description of the error, its presentation as a screenshot, its solution or solution proposal must be specified.

Contestants' error/suggestion request entries will be evaluated by looking at the type of error and/or suggestion, their degree of importance, and whether the error/suggestion and its solution are well defined. If the contestants develop the necessary patch for the solution they propose and share it with the Pardus team, they will receive plus points. In addition, the number of errors/suggestions reported will also earn points for the contestants.
